El Rey currently has 3 positions available: Two Server shifts and 1 Bartender shift.
TABC Certificate required for all Servers and Bartenders.
SERVER – Servers make standard minimum wage and may earn tips. Servers must be 18 years old to serve alcoholic beverages. They also take orders, run food, greet customers, advise on menu choices, take payment, provide refills to customers, and answer questions relative to the dining experience. Servers may work full time or part time. Servers may work full-time or part-time and may be required to work weekends and holidays.
BARTENDER – Bartenders should be 25 or older. Bar service jobs require quick service with little error and compliance with state and local laws to ensure the avoidance of serving minors and overly intoxicated customers.
Bartenders must demonstrate physical capabilities of standing for extended periods of time and lifting and carrying heavy cases of liquor, beer, and other supplies.
Bartenders must possess excellent communication skills, high levels of patience. Previous experience is preferred but not required, as we will train you. Expect to work nights, weekends, and some holidays or assist during seasonal rushes.
Tip-based pay provides incentives to provide outstanding communication, customer-service, and interpersonal skills.
